Is it getting old yet?

Monday, May 29, 2006

Shortly after arriving at the party, Amanda (who I only know as the girl who played ExCorpse at a club with us one time) approached me to do another. Such is the power of ExCorpse! This game is just tons of fun! Especially for people who don't normally draw during their day. I was feeling a lot intoxicated so I relied on the old stand by face. Not too interesting. But her and Steve had no idea that they were both drawing a building. Nice syncronicity!

This one is trippy:

This one makes perfect sense!

This one cried all the way home...

Okay, so last post I resposted some old images. But there was new commentary so whatever.

This one my girl and I did waiting for breakfast. Mmmm muffins and eggs and dragons!

Last week Andy joined us and drew up some monster tits.

And then really worked his butt off on this elf. No half assed rush jobs for him. J gets his ideas from advertising. Or at least wanted to draw that character.

At the beginning of the Breakfast Club there's a shot of a staircase where someone's scrawled "I'm eating my own head" in the wooden bannister.(from a few weeks ago).

Mike was on an underwater kick that day he did the bottom in that one and this one. I like that it turned out that the tree head I made turned out to be on a lumberjack. But at least he has a rubber axe.Check out that cute jungle girl in the city!
I made this girl a little wonky eyed. But there's no erasing ink so now she just has "character". I think we all liked how this one turned out.

3 Weeks Worth

When you have the anonimity of being only 1/4 of a drawing and it's drawn on a napkin in a bar it makes it a lot easier to draw something crude and unpleasant. Case in point...

Also, we realized Mike doesn't like to just draw part of a character so he's started to put little mini characters in his 1/4 to make up for the fact he usually has to draw the feet. See!
I can't tell if those were Godzilla boots or Kiss boots. But they rock either way!

The next week Mike kept using the word dilettante at lunch in reference to art shows so it spawned this...

More tiny figures from Mike. So J planned to thwart Mike by adding a falling safe to squish the characters he would draw below on this one. But then he didn't draw any...

But notice the amazing landscape he drew instead! Such a lovely Castle ready to be ransacked by Conan on dragonback.

Also, I was compelled to draw pac man & ghosts that day because of an upcoming video game art show I'm doing.

The next week Mike was back to drawing tiny people again. He did the knight...

But as we unfolded it, we realized that unbeknowst to us, if we removed Js section it almost worked as a whole drawing, looking not nearly as calico and cobblestone as our usual corpses.

Then we all started drawing each other.

Jugger the Hutt

For this one it seems like we all drew Marvel characters. Spider-Woman is so 1970's that it's the awesomes!

Mike wanted to start one off sideways. Talk about lateral thinking. Nice one!

Mike always gets the feet

Actually J started this one to empathize with Mike always getting the feet. Mike's wife Claudia made a rare appearance and drew lots of fun stuff too like a monkey and incense.
